Safety It's An Issue

One of my favorite things at work is in the bathrooms they have posted informational papers on the stall doors. As you take care of business you can read a little something something. Occasionally they are quite dry and too informative for light reading on the pot but more often the postings are funny photos showing people's ignorance for safety.

The best part, every month I get to see new material. The trick is to make sure I rotate stalls so I can be sure to enjoy the five different postings, one for each stall.

Here's An Example:

All together now, “Just because you can doesn't mean you should.” I guess if they were moving a larger refrigerator, they would have taken the full-size sedan. Note that the store in the background sells beer and wine. This fact is probably a coincidence.

Job O Job

After sitting through 68 introductions in my graduate class where students described their current job positions I felt down. Besides feeling bored I left feeling young, inadequate, and inexperienced. I suppose I have time on my side. Time to get experience (if i ever land a resume building job). Time to build a resume I am proud of. Perhaps I am just a factory worker now but I WILL DREAM BIG and find continuing inspiration to persist. Goal in mind.....school guidance counselor.

TO PAINT or not to paint...PAINT

8 1/2 gallons of paint later.... project paint, done!

I have a problem of underestimating how much work an actually project will be. That being said we were able to paint the kitchen and living room in about three days.
What was accomplished? We painted; two coats of primer EVERYWHERE, the ceiling flat white, the walls swiss coffee white, and the trim semi-gloss white.

We listened to book two of the 'Eragon" series on tape which helped the time go by.

Josh's brother, Jesse, came over a few days after we finished. He knew we had been painting and commented that it looked good but, he followed with "it looks less yellow." YELLOW YELLOW anything but less yellow. We painted over a pinkish-brown-gray with an off white. Now what exactly about that is less yellow? I would have taken more yellow, brighter, whiter, less pink, less brown, or just good, but less yellow O BROTHER!

The important thing I LOVE it and I think it looks much better! :)
